Directions from Edinburgh

Heading south from the city you can take either the A68 or the A7 roads.

A7 Route - follow the signs for Galashiels from Edinburgh. Follow the road through the village of Stow and into Galashiels. Stay on the road, following signs for Selkirk. After approximately 2 miles out of Galashiels on the A7 you will cross the river Tweed. After this, take the second turning on the left up a steep hill through the village of Lindean. Continue up this road until you pass a reservoir on your right hand side at the bottom of the hill. Nether Whitlaw Farm entrance is the next entrance, two hundred yards further on the left.

A68 Route - follow signs for Jedburgh and the A68 from Edinburgh. Stay on this road until you reach St Boswells (a different place to Newtown St Boswells, a town about a mile before you reach St Boswells). Pass through Earlston, carry on until you reach St Boswells. When you reach St Boswells take the first right just after the cricket ground - the A699 towards Selkirk. Continue on this road for around 5 miles. Take a right turn signposted to Lindean. Nether Whitlaw Farm is the first entrance on the right on this road - about half a mile on. If you get to the reservoir you have gone too far.

Directions from Newcastle

Travel up the A68 towards Edinburgh. Just before you enter the village of St Boswells turn left towards Selkirk on the A699. Continue on this road for around 5 miles. Take a right turn signposted to Lindean. Nether Whitlaw Farm is the first entrance on the right on this road - about half a mile on. If you get to the reservoir you have gone too far.

Directions from Hawick and Carlisle

Coming from Carlisle, take the road signposted to Hawick (the A7). At Hawick, continue on the A7 towards Selkirk. On the outskirts of Selkirk (about 100 yards after you enter the 30mph zone), take the turning to the right (the A699 - signposted to St Boswells and Kelso). Continue for about 3 miles on this road. Pass the turnoff to Midlem on the right and take the next left after this (about 100 yards further on). Nether Whitlaw Farm is the first entrance on the right on this road - about half a mile on. If you get to the reservoir you have gone too far.
